How to apply vindflow
Share
Applying a sticker might seem simple — but when it comes to vindflow, precision makes all the difference. This guide will walk you through each step to ensure optimal performance and wind noise reduction.
🧼 1. Preparation
Before applying vindflow, we recommend to thoroughly clean your headphones. Dirt, oil, or residue can interfere with the adhesive and reduce vindflow’s effectiveness in letting ambient sound through.
You can refer to Apple’s guide on how to clean AirPods as a general reference — the same principles apply to most headphones.
🪄 Tip: Focus on cleaning the area around the 🎤 ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) microphone opening, as this is where vindflow should be applied.
Not sure which one that is? Check your headphone manual or refer to our product photos — it’s usually the outer-facing mic on the top or side of each earbud.
🎯 2. Apply your vindflow
- 🪡 Gently peel one vindflow sticker from its backing. Using a fingernail can help lift the edge without wrinkling the ultra-thin material.
- ↘️ Start with the shorter side when aligning it. This gives you better control and helps ensure precise placement.
- 🎤 Align the sticker to fully cover the ANC microphone opening opening - this is the microphone responsible for detecting wind and external noise. Make sure the entire mic port is covered, as partial coverage can reduce vindflow’s effectiveness.
- 🫳 Press softly to apply. If misaligned, you can carefully peel it off and try again.
- 🖐️ Smooth out creases or bubbles. Gently massage the sticker. You can stretch it slightly to eliminate folds.
🔍 Important: Proper placement and a smooth surface are key for vindflow to perform at its best. Double-check that the 🎤 microphone is fully covered with no air pockets or wrinkles.
🎧 3. Enjoy :)
You’re all set! Head outside and enjoy the improved clarity and 🌬️ wind noise reduction that vindflow delivers.
